SparkBase CTO Becomes Owner

Douglas Hardman, previously the creator and Cheif Technology Officer of SparkBase purchased the Stored Value network today from Technology Imaging Services for an undisclosed amount. Along with the Hardware, Software, and Intellectual Property, Hardman will take all of the TIS IT staff with him to continue the development of the network and platform.

“I’m really looking forward to being able to run with this ball. My team and I have a lot of great ideas, as well as some exciting opportunities that we can take advantage of now.” said Hardman. “Having the entire crew that helped create SparkBase was the determining factor for me. If they wouldn’t come with it, I wasn’t even interested.”

SparkBase has been behind the scenes of several merchant service resellers for the past few years, and this move gives SparkBase the ability to expand into markets that were previously unavailable to them.

“We had a hurdle to contend with now and then as to why a company that had roots in Nuclear Medicine Supply was servicing the Stored Value market.” continued Hardman. “This lets us shed that persona and concentrate on just being one thing, and doing it well.”

Hardman plans a fairly aggressive campaign in the coming year in order to meet his (now) self-imposed goal of growing the company by 300% by this time next year.
