SparkBase, the industry’s leading private label stored-value platform, have completed development and Class-A certified the Hypercom T4100 terminals to their next-generation gateway.
“We’ve had a T4100 app certified in late 2005, but we found the code that Hypercom used for the framework was pretty brittle when we with our upcoming gateway limits” said Doug Hardman, CEO of SparkBase. “Our ISOs were asking for it, but we knew that our next-gen gateway was around the corner, and we’d need to re-build it anyway. Initially, we just wanted to modify our existing code” said Hardman. “Once we looked at it, we decided that in re-writing it with the new Hypercom framework, we’d be able to make the source available to several other new terminals that Hypercom is working on. Now we have two next-generation technology pieces working together.”
After the latest SparkBase gateway was deployed in late June on 2008, development of the new T4100 application was in full-swing. Because SparkBase develops everything in-house, this process went quickly.
“SparkBase’s Class A certification of the T4100 further validates this best-of-breed product’s advanced engineering, features and functions, expands our long-standing relationship with SparkBase, and gives merchants the ability to accept gift card transactions with plug and play simplicity,” said Lisa Shipley, senior vice president and managing director of Hypercom North America. “We are delighted to help one of the world’s largest stored-value processors better serve their customers’ needs.”
Development is expected to be completed on the T4200 series in the coming weeks, followed by multi-lane versions of the software.
